…in the streets of Athens you can discover different things and reasons to love and hate this city. For me is always a challenge wondering in the streets of Athens because although i was born in Athens, i didn’t really have the chance to explore it as much as i would like. So, when the weather is good is a great opportunity to wonder around, even aimlessly and just learn to use your senses to discover the city.

You have this building-apartments that for some reason, although they are not the prettiest thing, i do prefer them than the new ones.

You can still find shops that sell just one kind of item, for example this photo is from a shop that sell’s only slippers!
Athens like most of big cities is full of surprises, you turn into an alley and you discover a little girl starring at you…that is thanks to artists like b.

i do consider some of street art truly works of art…they are part of our everyday life and sometimes they do make us smile, at least me!

A couple of years ago i went through a phase of stencils and i sprayed almost every wall that i could in Athens. Unfortunately i did not take pictures of most of them, but as i was walking around i discovered 2 of my stencils! Amazing? I think so cause the rest have been painted over or erased by time!

Walking and not driving also means that you can discover well hidden restaurants and bars that you wouldn’t have the chance to discover in any other way!

Ι do enjoy walking in Athens but i am pretty sure i would love to cycle. Some time ago i did try it but it proved to be quite dangerous…may be if i had a bicycle with 2 extra wheels and was 5 again…cycling around my neighborhood carefree…
