On 14/07/2011 and after two years of having this blog, I decided to change the layout and the about page! My name is Thalia and through this blog and this page I ll try and give you an insight of my life in athens./
I have two cats Clio & Tsita and I love them dearly both!/ Έχω 2 γάτες, την Κλειώ και την Τσίτα και τις λατρεύω και τις 2 εξίσου!
I also have a dog, Daisy. (yes i love animals!)/ Επίσης έχω και ένα σκύλο, την Νταίζη.
I love reading books and my favorite movie is Rocky I. (I do like other movies as well but this one kind of does something to me!) I have a bicycle which I used to ride a lot but not so often anymore…/
I love to hate and then love again Athens. It is where I was born and despite the misery and all the ugly things that it has I still love it.
This blog started from desire to discover life in athens after living in London for almost 7 years. I love fashion, art and writing in Greek so you will also find a lot of them here as well. Hope you enjoy!/

Hi Thalia,
I am reading your blog about one year – or more – so I consider myself quite a loyal fan of life_in_Athens. I like your aesthetics and the way you see fashion – not isolated from the social context, from your life and feelings. I loved your 365 non shop project and the swap not shop event you are organizing in Athens – although I never had the chance to come to one of them as I live abroad. I find funny, sweet and sensitive the abstract way you write about your feelings. I like it less when it’s about branding and famous brands’parties. In general, you have one of the sites I will take a look everyday and that’s great! Keep up the good work girl! Like you very much!
@Alice: I would like to thank you for your honesty and taking the time to make a comment and share with me your opinion about Life in Athens. One of the reasons that I started this blog was to do exactly this: to be able to share my aesthetics and feelings about fashion and things that are part of my daily life. Your comment made my smile and things like that are one of the reasons that I ve kept this blog for more than 2 years.
Thank you again and it was nice exhanging thoughts with you!
Hi Thalia,
Today I read about your blog in a Dutch newspaper (NRC Next). It was mainly about the swapparties that have become almost charity events. So I decided to pop over and take a look. The story about megaloso and being a child again made me smile!
I have not been in Athens (only on the airport twice when going to Corfu) but mainly through my work as a volunteer at Corfu Donkey Rescue I have a connection with Greece. So apart from other blogs I read blogs about Greece as well. Maybe the work of Corfu Donkey Rescue interests you as well. Judy Quinn the woman that started it writes a blog too. Think I will be back again to read some more.

Your blog is really an inspiration. I have read it now for 6 months after moving to Athens. The pictures are amazing and i like that you both write in greek and english!
