Athens is a city full of surprises. But I am guessing that every city has its own surprises. Sometimes people ask me why I like Athens so much. The answer is very simple. On a single walk you will see different things: a graffiti on the wall, friends wondering around just like you do and bits and bobs that make this city…my city. I am very aware that there are a lot of things that make this city ugly and sometimes unbearable and this is mainly due to the people that inhabit the city and not the city itself. We have made Athens an ugly city and in her turn has created ugly and miserable people. You will probably wonder what am I talking about? Well it is simple and I have said it many times. Discover your city again and again and again.

Η Αθήνα είναι μια πόλη γεμάτη εκπλήξεις. Φαντάζομαι όμως πως κάθε πόλη κρύβει τις δικές της εκπλήξεις. Μερικές φορές με ρωτάνε γιατί συνεχίζει και μου αρέσει η Αθήνα τόσο πολύ. Η απάντηση είναι απλή. Σε μια και μόνο βόλτα μπορείς να δεις πολλά διαφορετικά πράγματα: ένα γκράφιτι στον τοίχο, φίλους που κάνουν και αυτοί βόλτα σαν και εσένα και μικρά πραγματάκια που κάνουν αυτή την πόλη…την πόλη μου. Γνωρίζω πολύ καλά πως υπάρχουν πολλά πράγματα που κάνουν αυτή την πόλη άσχημη και αυτή με τη σειρά της έχει δημιουργήσει άσχημους και μίζερους ανθρώπους. Θα αναρωτιέστε γιατί πράγμα μιλάω. Είναι απλό και το έχω ξαναπεί. Ανακαλύψτε την πόλη σας ξανά και ξανά και ξανά.
Μια βόλτα στην Αθήνα δεν είναι ποτέ η ίδια ακόμα και αν ακολουθήσετε το ίδιο μονοπάτι.
